Ambassador Andrew Young, the chief strategist and aide to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the civil rights movement, and the former UN Ambassador to the United States, former two-term US Congressman, for Atlanta mayor and former co-chairman of the Atlanta Olympic Games (amongst other leadership roles), has also won several Emmy Awards for his Andrew Young documentary series.
What the public may not know is that he has also been awarded approximately 100 honorary doctorate degrees from colleges and universities during the course of his trailblazing and history making career and professional life.
