LOS ANGELES – April 11, 2013 – Financial dignity nonprofit Operation HOPE (HOPE) announced today that Brad Hanson, president of Meta Payment Systems, has taken a seat on the organization’s Midwestern Board of Directors. During his two-year term he will champion financial literacy initiatives, and economic empowerment for youth and adults living in under-served communities.
With this appointment Hanson becomes the latest “silver rights” ambassador to the board. As a member of the Midwestern board Hanson will provide ongoing feedback and guidance to help promote program effectiveness throughout the region. Additionally, he will help generate and nurture support of elected officials, school administrators and community-based organizations for financial literacy initiatives and programs.
Brad Hanson has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, including numerous banking, card industry and technology-related capacities. During his career Brad has played a significant role in the development of the prepaid card industry. His experience working with regulators and many financial innovators provides a unique perspective on the history of prepaid, current threats and opportunities, and the changing roles of key participants in the prepaid value chain.
