Atlanta – October 24, 2012 – Empowerment leader Operation HOPE announced today that Raquel Russell Special Assistant to the President for Mobility and Opportunity, Domestic Policy Council is set to Co-Chair a Working Group Session on The Role of Government in a Reset World at the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit (HGFDS) at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia, November 14 – 15th, 2012.

Russell, who also holds a speakers role, will help lead a discussion that will frame and provide solutions around critical issues outlining financial empowerment and government responsibility. Working Group sessions are designed to touch on powerful, inspirational and aspirational themes that speak to the future of “making free enterprise work for all.”

The event comes together under the theme of Community, Character and Responsible Capitalism. The U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will keynote the event.

Since joining the White Domestic Policy Council in September 2010, Russell has worked on various policy issues including economic mobility, place-based initiatives, nutrition policy, health care, and various women’s issues. She now leads the urban affairs and economic mobility team, which focuses on a range of issues important to urban communities across America and policies that create ladders of opportunity for struggling families; including community and economic development, housing, transportation, and anti-poverty and nutrition programs.
