It is with great pleasure that today we announce today that the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, for U.S. President Barack Obama, will travel to Atlanta, Georgia and hold a special Field Listening and Action Meeting as part of Opening Plenary for the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit, November 14th-15th, 2012.

Specifically, we are honored to have with us Mr. Don Graves, Executive Director of the U.S. President's Jobs Council, and President's Council Member Christopher Che, President and CEO of Hooven-Dayton, will be with us, along with a host of White House senior staff and policy advisors.

The Opening Session with the White House Jobs Council, entitled THE FUTURE OF GLOBAL JOBS, AND THE LOCAL ATLANTA MIRACLE, will occur on Wednesday, November 14th, 2012, from 6pm-8pm. You can find complete information here.  

This part of the global summit, particularly given White House Jobs Council involvement, will be open to the broader Atlanta leadership community.

Confirmed participants for this Opening Plenary include Don Graves and Mr. Che on behalf of the White House, Session Co-Chairs, Ambassador Andrew Young and Jim Clifton, Chairman and CEO of Gallup. Atlanta leaders include Jerome Russell of the H.J. Russell Co,  U.S. Small Business Administration Regional Administrator Cassius Butts and a senior leader from UPS (United Parcel Service).

The lead keynote speaker for the entire HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit, scheduled for November 15th, 2012, is U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.
