Glonbal thought leader, advisor to leading governments, private sector and civil society organizations around the world, Mr. Sean Cleary of South Africa, has graciously agreed to serve as Honorary Co-Chair for the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit, 2012, in Atlanta, Georgia.  Sean Cleary is Executive Vice-Chair of the Future World Foundation, and a member of the Board of Abraaj Capital Holdings, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems and the Carbon War Room. He chairs Operation HOPE’s Global Advisory Board.

Sean Cleary, known amongst other things for his work to help frame the South African Constitution, and as a strategic advisor to the founder of the World Economic Forum, joins Mayor Reed (City of Atlanta), Senator Leroy Johnson (Chairman of the Ebenezer Baptist Church Board); Bernice King (CEO, The King Center); Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock (Senior Pastor, Ebenezer Baptist Church); Ambassador Andrew Young, Civil Rights Icon and HOPE Global Spokesman; Dennis Lockhart (President, Chief Executive Officer Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta) and John Hope Bryant (HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO) for the historic conference.

Delegates from more than 50 countries across the globe are expected for the two-day solution-driven conference that will address the role of financial dignity and “silver rights” empowerment for underserved communities.

Sean Cleary is an independent member of the Board of Directors of Abraaj Capital. He is also Founder and Executive Vice-Chair of the Future World Foundation, Chairman of Strategic Concepts (Pty) Ltd., Managing Director of the Centre for Advanced Governance, and a director of companies. He is also a guest lecturer on global corporate strategy at business schools in South Africa, the UK and the US, and on the strategic challenges of globalisation and conflict resolution at several defence colleges, universities and institutes.
 
He is a Strategic Adviser to the World Economic Forum, a Faculty Member of the Parmenides Foundation, chair of the Advisory Board of Operation Hope, and a board member of LEAD International and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems.
