Last week I had the pleasure of spending some quality time with former Georgia State Senator Leroy Johnson, who is today chairman of the board for the historic Ebenezer Church, in Atlanta, Georgia. Senator Johnson, who is also an attorney, leads the Ebenezer Church board of trustees, working closely with Ebenezer senior pastor, Reverend Dr. Raphael Warnock, whom Operation HOPE is partnering with around the coming HOPE Financial Dignity Center, Ebenezer. The HOPE Center, Ebenezer is the anchor tenant for the new Martin Luther King, Sr. Community Resource Complex, at the King Center.

Both the Martin Luther King, Sr. Community Resource Complex, named in honor of Daddy King, and the HOPE Center, Ebenezer, are scheduled to open to the public in the Fall. There will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony for the HOPE Center, Ebenezer on November 14th, 2012, tied to and around the coming HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit, scheduled for November 14th and 15th, 2012, in Atlanta, Georgia. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is our confirmed keynote speaker for the global summit.
