It was great running into my friend Congresswoman Karen Bass from California at the White House this week.  She was there in her new House leadership role focused on Africa, discussing the President's new Africa policy.  I was there for, well, a half dozen different reasons (smile).

I am honored to serve President Barack Obama as his chairman of the Subcommittee on the Underserved and Community Empowerment for the U.S. President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability.
