A Policy Forum Honoring Ambassador Andrew Young's Lifelong Contribution to Positive Change

JClifton7The public is invited to join former Ambassador Andrew Young, Jim Clifton, chairman and CEO of Gallup, moderator Maria Saporta, editor of the Saporta Report, and an expert panel from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University for a free policy forum centered on ideas Clifton brings forth in his new book, The Coming Jobs War. Clifton will be introduced by John Hope Bryant, founder, chair and CEO of Operation HOPE.

The forum will be held on Monday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University. It will begin with a free reception at 5 p.m. and close with a book signing with Clifton, Young and Bryant, author of Love Leadership: The New Way to Lead in a Fear-Based World (Jossey-Bass).

Titled “Creating Good Jobs: Who, Where, How,” the forum will feature a discussion between Young and Clifton on job creation, successful entrepreneurship and the implications of a “jobs war” on everything from economics to foreign policy to “nothing less than America’s moral authority in the world.”

Research economist and policy advisor Julie Hotchkiss of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, an adjunct professor at the Andrew Young School; Professor Harvey Newman, chair of the Department of Public Management and Policy; and doctoral candidate Kelechi Uzochukwu will pose questions to Clifton and Young. The audience will be invited to ask questions of Clifton, Young and the panelists.
