Los Angeles Mayor becomes silver rights nonprofit’s newest Event Chair

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has joined Operation HOPE’s 20th anniversary  Anniversary Bus Tour celebration as a co-chair of the HOPE Opportunity Bus Tour, bringing his unique perspectiveto the changes and growth of the city over the years.

The event chair circle, Villaraigosa joins includes Pastor Charles Blake Bishop; HOPE 5MK Celebrity Chair, and CEO & Chairman of Quincy Jones Productions, Quincy Jones; Chairman of Cecil Murray Center for Community Engagement, Rev. Dr. Cecil “Chip” Murray; TIME Man of the Year ’84,  Manager for the 1984 Olympics  and Chairman of the Contrarian Group, Peter Urberroth; HOPE Global Spokesman and Civil Rights Icon, Ambassador Andrew Young.

The Opportunity Bus Tour “From Chaos to Community” in Los Angeles is scheduled for April 24 and commemorates the organization’s historic importance, as well as launch its first, in a series of events, celebrating its efforts and recognizing the partners that have helped HOPE empower more than 2 million people over the past two decades.
