Global_Shapers_LogoInspired by Professor Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum (also the founder of the Forum of Young Global Leaders) in Geneva, Switzerland, and saluting an entire generation of already accomplished young leaders (age 20-30) around the world, the Forum of Global Shapers Community has been launched in local Hubs around the world over the past few months.

Later this month, Mayor Kasim Reed and the City of Atlanta will partner with me and the Operation HOPE, Atlanta family to bring the Global Shapers, Atlanta Hub to life here in my home city of Atlanta, Georgia.  I was proud and honored to be asked to be the founding currator for the Atlanta, Hub, but now we have to move — making this vision real for the incredible young leadership talent that exists citywide and regionwide here in Greater Atlanta, Georgia.

Many more details to follow next week, but for anyone who wants to know more about the Forum of Global Shapers and how they can submit a nomination for the Global Shapers, Atlanta Hub, please contact the Global Shapers, Atlanta project manager Shannon Campbell, or the Global Shapers, Atlanta Hub local coordinating lead Jay Bailey.

A special thank you here for the vision and leadership of Atlanta's Mayor Kasim Reed, as well as the initial members of the Global Shapers, Atlanta Hub Organizing Committee, including civil rights icon Ambassador Andrew Young and Atlanta-based Young Global Leader Jamail Larkins.

Okay, let's go.
