JHB at USC speech #2
I was invited by my friend and Hueman Bookstore (Harlem) CEO, Ms. Marva Allen, to come out to keynote the 16th Annual Caribbean Multi-National Business Conference covering the Caribbean Island nations.  The conference was held in Jamaica, and was attended by prominent business, politcal, civil rights and media leaders from across the region.

Following my morning keynote presentation I was blessed to share the stage during an Authors Panel which included bestselling authors Terrie Williams, Victoria Rowell and Terry McMillan.  I was pleased that these distinguished ladies let me in the room, so to speak (smile).

Later that evening I had the pleasure of introducing my personal hero and civil rights icon Ambassador Andrew Young, who was the featured evening speaker for the regional-wide conference.

Finally, no one was more surprised that I, on the final evening of the conference, to learn that I was to also receive an award.  I received the Marcus Garvey Award, given as a Bridge Builder for the Diaspora, and I could not have been more thrilled and of course honored.

Okay, a lot of work remain to be done, so let's go…
