This week I am honored to be visiting with my incredible team of leaders, board members and partners here at Operation HOPE, South Africa, in our Johannesburg office. Here is a snapshot of their results to date:

27,663 total youth, women and adults served to date, inclusive of 22,988 youth and 4,575 adults. There are 1,178 HOPE Corps volunteers to date, 219 private sector partners, schools, NGOs, and faith based partners to date.

Our work here was originally endorsed and supported by the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, IFC/The World Bank, and Citi, South Africa.

Our recent Sanlam Insurance Pilot featured 98 Sanlam volunteers in Gauteng and the Western Cape, teaching 1,277 learners grade 10, 11 and 12, piloted in 6 schools.

The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy has requested their teachers an Grade 11 pupils to be educated in the Banking on Our Future program.

And while later today we announce a new and major commitment to HOPE, South Africa, I would like to extend a special thanks to Donna Oosthuyse, chief operating officer for Citi, South Africa for her and their incredibly important founding support in our formative years.
