John B. Osborn joined BBDO in 1991 and was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the New York agency in 2004.

He is a passionate and energetic leader who remains actively involved with many of the agency’s clients including FedEx, GE, Sony, Lowe’s, Monster and Mars. Among Osborn’s notable accomplishments was his involvement with the “New York Miracle”
campaign, which helped lift the spirits of New Yorkers in the wake of the September 11 attacks.

He has lent his talents to the New York University’s Child Studies Center and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the Police Athletic League of New York, the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and is a Member of the New York Board of Governors of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4As).

Osborn has been inducted into the AAF Hall of Achievement, named to the Crain’s New York Business list of “40 under 40” and to BtoB magazine’s “Who’s Who in BtoB”.Osborn and the agency were critical to the success of raising global awareness for Global Dignity Day 2010, particularly his and the agency's leadership efforts centered on a "Give Dignity" Campaign in Manhattan, New York, leading up to GDD 2010.  All of Osborn and the agency's support has been provided pro-bono, and simply underscores the character of the leader, and the spirit of the agency he leads.

John B. Osborn is a member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, and the co-founders HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Professor Pekka Himanen of Finland and John Hope Bryant, founder of Operation HOPE, along with the board of directors of Global Dignity, were honored to name him and BBDO NY as Global Dignity Special Advisor for Outreach.
