There is so much more to be reported this week on this historic HOPE Forum at NYSE Euronext, which occurred on last Wednesday night (HOPE Forum Reception), and Thursday day (HOPE Forum program), but here are some images that begin to tell at least some of the story.

We were honored to honor two great leaders in responsible free enterprise and capitalism for all people on Wednesday evening; namely Mickey Siebert, the first woman to own a seat on the NYSE, and Steven Freiberg, CEO of E Trade, celebrating their more than decade long "model" commitment to the work of Operation HOPE (inclusive of volunteers, board leadership at the regional and national levels, and a $12 million plus commitment over this period).  Reception attendees were treated with remarks as well by the Honorable Ari Matusiak, Executive Director of the White House Business Council, and my personal hero, mentor and HOPE Global Spokesman Ambassador Andrew Young.

Operation HOPE and its partners were also asked to Ring the Closing Bell of and for the NYSE Euronext on Wednesday, July 20th, 2011.

The HOPE Forum program on Thursday was chocked full with substance (and you will be able to see the taped program later this week), but included speakers such as Duncan Niederauer, CEO of NYSE Euronext, Michael P. Smith, president of NYBA (both co-hosts with Operation HOPE),  Kelvin Boston of MoneyWise who served as master of ceremonies, Ron Insana and Maria Bartiromo of CNBC, who moderated two seperate major panels, Steve Bartlett, CEO of FINANCIAL SERVICES ROUNDTABLE, Geraldine Walsh, VP for FINRA, Tim Wennes, vice chairman for Union Bank, civil rights icon Ambassador Andrew Young, Michelle Greene, VP and head of corporate responsibility, and executive director of the NYSE Foundation, Jim Clifton, chairman and CEO of Gallup, Inc., Noah J. Hanft, general counsel, corporate secretary, chief franchise integrity officer for MasterCard Worldwide, Celie Niehaus, SVP, head of global bank compliance, E TRADE,  Krishna Guha, EVP of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Katherine Busser, EVP, bank operations and enterprise payments, Capital One Bank, and so many others.

We were particularly thrilled to have the Honorable Don Graves, Jr, Executive Director of the U.S. President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness as our luncheon keynote speaker.  He did an incredible job, and we are thankful to both Mr. Graves and Mr. Matusiak for not only bringing solid and relevant remarks, but for their connection of financial literacy in America with the "business case" going forward.

A special thank you to Matt Scogin, chief of staff for the CEO of NYSE Euronext, who has been extremely helpful in making this Forum happen, along with the broader NYSE Euronext team.

There's a lot of work to get done, post crisis.  Let's go.

Onward and with HOPE
