Recently while in Washington, D.C. I had the pleasure of sitting down with a new and powerful friend of HOPE; Ms. Brenda L. Skidmore, president of the SunTrust Foundation. With Brenda's support and endorsement, SunTrust made a $1 million investment in historic HOPE Financial Literacy Empowerment Center at Ebenezer.
It was appropriate that I met Brenda at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C., where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., along with my personal hero Ambassador Andrew Young, finished his famous "I Have A Dream" speech, right before the March on Washington.
One person can change the world, and Brenda is proving to be one of those people in our world.
