On the afternoon of the launch of the HOPE Express at Ebenezer as well as Operation HOPE announcing its newest board member for the South East, Dr. Bernice King, I was deeply honored to join my friend and now advisor, Dr. Bernice King, for a special assembly of more than 500 young girls at the Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy, where I spoke on their self-empowerment and inner-dignity, during Dr. King's 100 Days of Non-Violence Program at the school.

Operation HOPE's Banking on Our Future Program is working in partnership with the Be A King Enterprises to teach "A Course in Dignity," as well as our award-wining financial literacy empowerment program, to every young bright light at the Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy.

It was a great day for all involved, and I am looking forward to working closely with my friend Dr. Bernice King as we move to empower our nation's youth with the tools to empower and "do for themselves," both through her foundation as well as our upcoming 5MK Make Smart Cool Tour 2011, for which Dr. Bernice King has also agreed to participate in. She is an amazing role model for all, but particularly women and girls looking for a brighter future for themselves, and a role model to show them the way.

I believe in Dr. Bernice King, and I believe she will make her parent's legacy real for a completely new generation.  Watch and stand by.

Onward and with HOPE

John Hope Bryant
