Yesterday morning, April 20th, 2011, I was honored to join new friend of HOPE, the Honorable John Eaves, chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, at the April meeting of the Fulton County Commission, as they applauded the local, national and international work of Operation HOPE, and in line with President Barack Obama, the US Senate and House of Representatives, proclaimed April, 2011, as FINANCIAL LITERACY MONTH in Fulton County.

I am also proud to now call myself a resident of Fulton County, and the city of Atlanta. The Proclaimation also commended our initiative to build a HOPE Financial Literacy Empowerment Center at Ebenezer, within the King Center complex, in partnership with Ebenezer Church and the FINANCIAL SERVICES ROUNDTABLE.

A special thank you to Verna Jennings Cleveland, chief of staff to Chairman Eaves, Aaron and Alicia Jordan for all of their active support and help here.  As well, commendations to my Operation HOPE, Atlanta team, inclusive of James Bailey, Tara Dennis, Hope Jay and others.  Finally, thank you to HOPE Government Relations and Public Policy, led by Jena Roscoe in Washington, D.C.
