Los Angeles, CA – January 20, 2011 – Financial literacy and economic empowerment nonprofit Operation HOPE (HOPE) today announced that Anand Nallathambi, the president and chief executive officer of CoreLogic (NYSE:  CLGX), will join its national board of directors.

“Our relationship with Anand goes back several years,” said Operation HOPE President and COO Bill Walbrecher. “He has been an active supporter of HOPE, and now we are excited to have him help steward the organization as we continue to expand our suite of financial literacy services."

CoreLogic and its executives have been involved with HOPE since 2004 when CoreLogic operated as the Information Solutions Group, a subsidiary of The First American Corporation, for which Nallathambi served as president and chief operating officer.  CoreLogic became a separate company in June 2010.

“The company first responded when I asked them to help HOPE innovate solutions for low-wealth individuals seeking to become responsible homeowners; establishing our first Virtual HOPE Center, a call-center provided by CoreLogic and staffed by HOPE associates,” said John Hope Bryant, HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO. “Shortly thereafter, they responded to HOPE’s call for help to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina, and our joint work has literally changed the lives of thousands, making our 'response' one of the most significant, with the exception of the American Red Cross and the federal government.  Our work together has allowed HOPE to fulfill its commitment under our agreement with the Department of Human Services and the Federal Emergency Management Association, and over the past few years, our partnership expanded to respond to the mortgage crisis, once again helping more than 100,000 individuals in need. This could not have been done without t he leadership vision and compassion of Anand. We are honored to have him join our national board.”

In 2004, The First American Corporation became a Chapter Sponsor of the Banking on Our Future program in Orange County. Today, CoreLogic continues to support the program, bringing CoreLogic employees in to teach the curriculum to students in Denver, Dallas, Austin, the San Francisco Bay area and Orange County, CA.  The company has also sponsored the Mortgage HOPE Crisis Hotline, becoming a lead partner and call center sponsor in the crisis portfolio that has provided assistance to over 100,000 homeowners and delayed or modified almost $400 million in mortgage loans.

Nallathambi continues the legacy of previous company executives who have served on HOPE regional and national boards.  “After Hurricane Katrina, I was able to witness firsthand the value Operation HOPE brings to the community,” said Nallathambi. “Now with the recent economic crisis, it is my goal to help HOPE bring economic empowerment to more communities in the U.S. and abroad.”

In 2006, Nallathambi received the esteemed “Chairman’s HOPE Award” for his integral role in administering HOPE programs to survivors during Hurricane Katrina. Due in part to his work, HOPE was able to provide assistance to more than 100,000 individuals impacted by the crisis. The Chairman’s HOPE Award, given to those who provide exceptional leadership and provide “silver rights” to the underserved, recognized Nallathambi for his efforts, helping victims in the Gulf through HOPE Coalition America.

Nallathambi received his bachelor's degree in economics from Loyola University in Madras, India. He earned a master's degree in finance and marketing from California Lutheran University and has professional designations in systems analysis and international business from the University of California at Los Angeles. Nallathambi also serves on the board of directors of the Consumer Data Industry Association, an international trade association that represents consumer information companies.

Nallathambi joins several of the nation’s most powerful executives, decision-makers, bankers and economists including board chairman John Hope Bryant; board vice-chairs Tim Chrisman, chief executive officer of Chrisman & Company and chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco; Lynn Pike, president of Capital One Bank; and Rick Hartnack, vice chairman of U.S. Bancorp; in providing insight and guidance to the nonprofit's direction.
