Friends of HOPE Announces the National Financial Capability Challenge
Please support my friend Carrie Schwab-Pomerantz, president of the Charles Schwab Foundation and my fellow member of the U.S. President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability, as they launch the National Financial Capability Challenge. A special thank you to the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Obama Administration for their support of the Challenge. Please check this out for your children and your area schools, particularly our inner-city schools. I have asked Operation HOPE to get the word out to our network of under-served schools.
Teachers: Want to invest in your students' future? Sign up for the National Financial Capability Challenge, a test you can administer in your classroom that measures the financial savvy of high-school students nationwide. Download the Educator Toolkit to help get your students prepared.
Parents: Spread the word! Encourage your local schools to participate. Students enrolled in any subject from any U.S. high school, home school or after-school program can participate.
Charles Schwab Foundation will award scholarships and grants to high-scoring students and their schools.
The National Financial Capability Challenge is a 40-question online test sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and recommended by the President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability.
