New Year's Eve, December 31st, 2010, was surely a night to remember.

Operation HOPE and I, along with our co-hosts Ambassador Andrew Young and Mrs. Carolyn Young, were honored to host my dear friend and singing sensation Mr. Howard Hewett at my home in Atlanta, Georgia.

Howard Hewett, who is a Grammy-Award winning singer, was the lead singer for Shalamar and has led a life that defines the concept of "doing well and doing good" too. Howard continously donates his time, as his schedule and commitments allow, to a range of charitable activities around the country.

I was honored to present my friend Howard with a HOPE Chairman's Award on this evening for Love Leadership.

A special thank you to Martin, Arndrea and Bernice King, Jeff Johnson, The Honorable Louis W. Sullivan, MD, President Emeritus, Morehouse School of Medicine and former U.S. Secretary of Health & Human Services, and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed amongst others, who joined us for this special evening.

Hope you enjoy viewing the memories. We surely enjoyed the amazing evening.
