102171CEO READ

I haveno words, really.  When my book made the Inc. Magazine/CEO Read Business Bestseller List the very first time I remember thinking, "if it ends right now I will have achieved something I could be proud of for years to come."  I was so excited the very first time I saw that my book, LOVE LEADERSHIP: The New Way to Lead in a Fear-Based World (Jossey-Bass), make the business bestseller list, and once I got to the 12th time I was out of words.  And when two months passed and the book had dropped off the list, I said "well, fine — that was a run of all runs, and I could not be more pleased."  I had turned the page, and then I learned just this week that once again, LOVE LEADERSHIP was back on the Inc. Magazine/CEO Read Business Bestseller List for the 13th time, and I was probably more jazzed than anytime other the very first time I made the list.  Just giddy.

A special thank you to everyone that has helped to continually propel LOVE LEADERSHIP forward, and in so doing, to help reframe the future of leadership for a new generation, post global economic crisis.  As I keep saying, this is a reset, and not just a recession.

Well, here is the story around the 13th run on the bestseller list below.

Universal message of LOVE LEADERSHIP principles continues to inspire government leaders, executives, educators and entrepreneurs globally

Los Angeles – February 10, 2011 – Operation HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO John Hope Bryant’s book LOVE LEADERSHIP: The New Way to Lead in a Fear-Based World (Jossey-Bass) takes the #9 spot on the Inc. Magazine 800-CEO-READ Business Book Bestseller List for January. This is the 13th time the book has made the list since its initial release in August 2009.

LOVE LEADERSHIP serves as a beacon of new leadership, demonstrating how leading with love and respect and not fear creates success in business and in life. It makes the case that the best way to get ahead is to figure out what you have to give. The book, aimed at a new generation of leaders, is extremely relevant and topical as the global economy struggles to reset from the recent global crisis.

Due to its popularity among CEOs, business managers, academics, community and political leaders, Bryant has made appearances all over the world in a series of “A Conversation on Leadership” lectures. One of his most recent engagements was at the Casablanca Stock Exchange (CSE) where he highlighted the principles of LOVE LEADERSHIP and made an announcement with Wikia/Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and CSE CEO Karim Hajjiregarding the creation of the Wikia-Operation HOPE Global Money Initiative. Recent public speaking engagements have seen Bryant address audiences in Miami for senior leaders at Kaplan University, at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast for the Decatur-Morgan County Minority Development Association and at “Operation HOPE Day” a t the Georgia State Capitol, which was the first public event for Georgia’s Governor Nathan Deal.

Recently, Bryant received the “Hidden Heroes” award from the Andrew Goodman Foundation for his work to empower the underserved and was named to the 2010 Heroes for Newsmax Magazine.  He currently serves the Obama Administration on the U.S. President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability.

LOVE LEADERSHIP draws on Bryant’s remarkable success story and on interviews with thirty love-based leaders such as former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Bill George, HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Ambassador Andrew Young, and some of the last book interviews with the late, great Secretary Jack Kemp and the late civil rights icon Dr. Dorothy I. Height.
