BRINGING IN THE NEW YEAR WITH HOPE!

REALLY honored that my dear friend and brother (from another mother), international singing sensation Howard Hewett will be providing a private, "Friends of Operation HOPE" only concert in Atlanta, Georgia on New Year's Eve!  On this special occasion, co-hosted by my personal hero and HOPE Global Spokesman Ambassador Andrew Young, his wife Mrs. Carolyn Young and myself, Operation HOPE will award our first ever Chairman's Award for Love Leadership and Lifetime Achievement in Community Service to Mr. Howard Hewett.  Howard's entire life has been about "doing well and doing good too," always lending his "gift" to uplift and to help empower others.

Some know Howard Hewett as the lead singer of the 80's sensation Shalamar, and others know how as a successful solo artist, or a gospel artist, and others as a humanitarian, philanthropist, and just a good father and friend.  I know him as all of this, and we will be honored to honor him on this day.

For those excited about this special, invitation-only Operation HOPE event but have not received an invitation, I am pleased to say that 10 lucky individuals from outside the immediate HOPE community will be selected to attend.  Contact James Bailey to register your interest, making a commitment to provide at least 12 hours of HOPE Corps volunteer community service time over the next 12 months (that's an hour a month for 12 months in 2011) to empower our youth as part of our 5MK movement to "Make Smart Sexy" again.  From those who make this commitment of "Love Leadership," 10 lucky individuals will be selected.

See you on New Year's Eve in the ATL!

Happy holidays to all.
