I was humbled yet again to learn recently that, I believe now for the 11th month since it's release, my book LOVE LEADERSHIP: The New Way to Lead in a Fear-Based World (Jossey-Bass) has made the Inc. Magazine-CEO Read Business Best Seller List for November, 2010. The list is a listing of the top 25 Business Books as compiled by Inc. Magazine and CEO Read. Included on this impressive list includes leading titles such as Strength Finders by Tom Rath and my friends at Gallup, and a book by Robert T. Kiyosaki, part of the Rich Dad's series. I direct most of the proceeds from my book to the organization I founded, Operation HOPE, but publishing this book has brought me so many more rewards in life, much more than money can buy, that I feel everyday that I am one of the luckiest men alive. And now let me also be clear about something else; to be a Love Leader is not to be so-called "perfect," as "perfect" does not exist, but rather to "respond" to life in a different way than society expects or suggests. To quote my friend Fred D. Smith from the pages of the book, "successful living involves learning how to successfully manage pain; the pain we create for ourselves, and the pain visited upon us by others." Love Leadership is about responding, and ultimately leading "differently."
