Conference Deemed “Summer Davos” to Focus on Driving Growth Through Sustainability to Take Place in People’s Republic of China

TIANJIN, China–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Founder, Chairman and CEO of international economic empowerment nonprofit Operation HOPE (HOPE) John Hope Bryant participated in the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2010 from September 13th to 15th. As well Bryant, who is recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader, took part in the Private Programme for YGL’s on September 12th.

Dubbed the “Summer Davos,” the Annual meeting in Tianjin is the foremost global business gathering in Asia and Premier Wen Jiabao attended the opening plenary and delivered a special speech to delegates. Introduced in 2007, the meeting is hosted in partnership with the Government of the People’s Republic of China. Over 1,300 participants from 85 countries took part in discussions.

Bryant, who was the keynote speaker at the prestigious Penn Club in Beijing and the Asia Society Hong Kong Center earlier in the week, brought his message of LOVE LEADERSHIP to forum breakout sessions. In a conference that focused on prosperity through collaboration, the principles of business bestseller LOVE LEADERSHIP: The New Way to Lead in a Fear-based World, asked delegates to embrace a different business philosophy. “The love leadership principles focus on long-term wealth,” Bryant explained. “The best way to achieve what you want is to discover what it is you have to give.”

Now that China has overtaken Japan as the world’s second-largest economy, this year’s theme of Driving Growth through Sustainability is a vital component not only to China’s economy but the world economy as a whole.
