Continued and ongoing commitment from NYSE Euronext
furthers Silver Rights Movement

LOS ANGELES – August 23, 2010 – John Hope Bryant, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of financial literacy empowerment nonprofit Operation HOPE (HOPE) announced today that NYSE Euronext (NYX) will provide Operation HOPE with a $75,000 donation for financial literacy education and support to underserved areas. The contribution is another example of NYSE Euronext’s commitment to assist HOPE in its quest to eradicate poverty and reduce the number of underserved and unbanked in America and worldwide.

“NYSE Euronext has been a tremendous support to Operation HOPE,” said Operation HOPE Founderand business bestselling author John Bryant. “Our partnership with them is a shining example of doing well by doing good. Their continued support has allowed us to provide more services to those who need it most.”

For the past five years, NYX has been a continual supporter of HOPE. In 2006, NYSE Euronext employees volunteered to become HOPE Corps volunteers and taught in Harlem classrooms. The NYX-HOPE relationship was recognized by the W.J. Clinton Foundation for it’s commitment to the 2005 Clinton Global Initiatives. During financial literacy month this April, NYSE CEO Duncan Niederauer joined John Bryant for a special NYX salute to financial literacy, culminating in Operation HOPE ringing the NYSE Closing Bell. Niederauer also played a role with HOPE as a distinguished speaker for the HOPE Atlanta Financial Forum, which coincided with the shovel ceremony for the planned HOPE Financial Literacy Empowerment Center at Ebenezer Church. Niederauer also serves on the Operation HOPE National Board of Directors.

Earlier this year, Bryant was named to the newly established NYSE Euronext Financial Literacy Advisory Committee. The committee, composed of some of the most respected names in financial literacy and education, assists in the development of a new online resource for consumers NYSE Money Sense (www.nysemoneysense.com) program.
