Operation HOPE Founder John Hope Bryant makes mark as popularity of book
remains strong as “Conversations” events inspire executives,
government leaders, educators and budding entrepreneurs

LOS ANGELES – March 25, 2010 – John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman and CEO of financial literacy nonprofit Operation HOPE, continues to climb the CEO READ Top 25 Business Bestsellers List with his book LOVE LEADERSHIP: The New Way to Lead in a Fear-Based World (Jossey-Bass), taking the #8 spot last month. February marks the seventh consecutive month the book has made the list since its release in August.

Since the release of the book, Bryant has made appearances all over the world engaging political leaders, executives and educators in series of “A Conversation on Leadership” lectures.  In January, LOVE LEADERSHIP was highlighted during the "authors and thought leaders" session at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. Other tour highlights include his appearance: in Riga with Latvia's President Valdis Zatlers, as well as being hosted by BBDO CEO John Osborn in New York; at The Economist Conference with Matthew Bishop; at the U.S. Treasury Department Executive Leadership Institute in Washington, DC; at SunTrust Bank in Baltimore with popular local reporter Marvin Jones; with Harvard educated Professor Jean Lipman Bluman at the Peter F. Drucker School of Manangement at Claremont Graduate University; with Rev. Cecil Murray at Christ Our Redeemer Church in Orange County, CA; and with bestselling authors Warren Bennis and Bill George at USC in Los Ange les.

On April 27, he will join Capital One President Lynn Pike and Mike Smith in New York for another installment of the "Conversations" series. Bryant will also be the keynote at the Commonwealth Club in San Fransisco on April 5, and at the international OECD Forum in Paris on May 26.

Receiving acclaim from critics – such as David Gergen, director of the Center of Public Leadership, Harvard Kennedy School; Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia and president of Wikia, Inc.; and legendary singer Jennifer Holliday – has made LOVE LEADERSHIP a fixture on the business bestseller list.

LOVE LEADERSHIP demonstrates how leading with love and respect creates success in business and in life and makes the case that the best way to get ahead is to figure out what you have to give. Aimed at a new generation of leaders and extremely relevant for today's economic climate, LOVE LEADERSHIP draws on his remarkable success story and on interviews with love-based leaders such as Former President Bill Clinton, Bill George, and Ambassador Andrew Young. Bryant outlines the five laws of love-based leadership: Loss Creates Leaders (there can be no strength without legitimate suffering), Fear Fails (only respect and love leads to success), Love Makes Money (love is at the core of true wealth), Vulnerability is Power (when you open up to people they open up to you), and Giving is Getting (the more you offer to others, the more they will give back to you).

Proceeds from purchases of the book made through Operation HOPE's website help the financial literacy organization deliver its services to underserved communities.
