I am honored to be here at Dr. King’s Ebenezer Church for the historic annual service in honor of Dr. King’s memory. Dr. King was the third pastor of this amazing church, where my friend Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock currently presides with dignity and an extended vision. I am honored to now call myself a member of Ebenezer Church, now that I live in Atlanta too.

Of course my hero Ambassador Andrew Young, along with the heroes and sheroes of the civil rights movement are here today, along with the King family. Dr. King’s sister Dr. Christine King Farris, vice chair of the King Center and professor at Spelman College, just spoke, along with my friend Isaac Newton Farris, Jr.

One person can make a difference. Be that one person. Today Dr. King would have wanted this to be “a day on and not a day off.” Let’s go…

With HOPE
