John Bryant color shotThe number one reason that black and brown kids drop out of college is not academics, it is money.  Earlier this year, countless brilliant young women, qualified in every other way, simply could not return to Spelman College in Atlanta, simply because of financial reasons.  I want this to end, along with the predatory practices pursued by some lenders and credit card providers on the campuses of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's).

And this is precisely why I am working closely with the White House Initiative on HBCUs, as led by Dr. John Wilson, and previously by Dr. Leonard Haynes, to bring financial literacy empowerment to each and every campus over the next few years.  The basis of this is a landmark, 5-year agreement between Operation HOPE and the White House Initiative on HBCUs

Join Operation HOPE in its effort to bring silver rights empowerment to the campuses of our HBCUs. One person can make a difference, starting with volunteering and teaching a class, today!

Onward with HOPE
