"Silver Rights" Entrepreneur and Author Returns to Dalian Where Idea for the
Philosophy of His Popular Book "Love Leadership" Was Born
DALIAN, China–(Business Wire)–

John-bryant-2009-2-1-9-3-43 Operation HOPE Founder and Chairman and CEO, John Hope Bryant provides strategic insights and raises awareness around the role of leadership, speaking on "preventing the next economic backlash" during the World Economic Forum`s (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2009 in Dalian, China, September 10 – 12. More than 1,300
participants from 86 countries meet to identify the impacts of unemployment,
government debt and its global impact to vulnerable segments of society and
offer possible solutions as this year`s session focuses on "Re-launching Growth."

"The best leaders recognize that they are in service to others, and likewise, in
service to something higher and more important than self," said Bryant, who also
serves as Vice Chair of the President`s Advisory Council on Financial Literacy
and as a member of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Poverty & Development Finance. "As the global economic landscape continues to shrink, how we deal with crisis from the top down will be the deciding factor between success and failure."

Bryant`s panel includes critical participation and dialogue from: Margery Kraus,
President and CEO, APCO Worldwide; Jean-Pierre Lehmann, Professor of
International Political Economy at the Institute for Management and Development
International, Switzerland; Ben J. Verwaayen, CEO, Alcatel-Lucent and Mentor of
the Annual Meeting of the New Champions; Valdis Zatlers, President of Latvia;
Nik Gowing of BBC World News will serve as the chair and main presenter.

Since receiving his nomination to become a YGL in 2004, Bryant continues to play
a critical role in moving the agenda forward for the next generation leaders
from around the world. His role also includes service on the Global Agenda
Councils for the Forum and co-founder of Global Dignity through YGL. Global Dignity Day is scheduled for October 20th, 2009, in several countries. Through his financial literacy nonprofit`s international division, HOPE Global Initiatives, Bryant is able to share his extensive experience and leadership perspective as a social "silver rights" entrepreneur and his unique talent for building bridges between corporations, governments and communities through programs that facilitate global change.

While in Asia, Bryant also engaged in locally organized events in connection with his latest book, "Love Leadership: The New Way to Lead in a Fear-Based World". The book shares the lessons and practices of numerous love-based leaders, as well as Bryant`s own experiences inspired in part by his leadership of Operation HOPE, the USA`s leading financial literacy and empowerment nonprofit.
