YD2H9595-2 Deeply humbled, and thankful.  This is the message to all of the friends and supporters for and around my vision for Love Leadership.  Formally introduced on August 24th, 2009, LOVE LEADERSHIP: The New Way to Lead in a  Fear-Based World (Jossey-Bass, Wiley Publishing), debuted in August at #8 on the CEO-Read Bestseller List, first appeared on the Amazon.com Canada "Hottest New Books" List and was #1 Hottest New Book for Amazon.com (overall) for its first 2-weeks and remains on the overall list today.  The message has also criss-crossed the globe, with me speaking at the World Economic Forum program for its Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian, China last week, to speaking before 2,000 leaders at the 95th Annual ICMA Conference in Montreal Canada on Monday, subsequently completing a 2-hour sell-out book signing for attendees, and then participating in an energizing "conversation on the future of leadership itself," post global crisis, with my personal hero, mentor and HOPE global spokesman, civil rights icon Ambassador Andrew Young, at the 191 Club in Atlanta, Georgia, co-hosted by the Andrew Young Foundation and Operation HOPE.  Sold-out of books there too.

Next I was off to Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina on Friday, where I served as the 2009 Convocation Speaker, and also subsequently did a book signing at the Livingstone College Book store for college and student leadership and students alike.  College President Dr. Jenkins, a great man, surprised me when they presented me with their 2009 National Community Leader Award for my work at and through Operation HOPE.

Today was a day of rest from the road, but tomorrow the campaign for silver rights, hope, dignity, love leadership, and cracking the code of free enterprise and capitalism for the poor and the under-served (the 5 things that Operation HOPE are about), continues, as I head to Los Angeles, California, the home city for Operation HOPE, where I pick up an award from the NAACP Youth League.  From there I am off to meet my mentors and heroes, icons Quincy Jones and Ambassador Andrew Young, where at the Clinton Global Initiative in NYC we will make a special joint presentation, and then the Congressional Black Caucus, where I will once again speak on Operation HOPE, silver rights and love leadership.

Stay tuned, on October 8th, 2009, civil rights icon Dr. Dorothy I. Height and I will lead a discussion on Love Leadership with my friend Stephen Ryan, Esq and the Mid-Atlantic board of directors of Operation HOPE, led by Celie Niehaus, as hosts.
