Mr. Longe Joins the "Silver Rights Movement" to Educate Adults and Youth on Economic Responsibility

LOS ANGELES, CA, Jul 16, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) — Nonprofit Operation HOPE (HOPE) announced today that Brian Longe, president and CEO of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, has become the most recent member of its National Board of Directors. In his new role as a "Silver Rights" Ambassador for the Los Angeles based economic empowerment organization, Mr. Longe will use his 20-plus years of business and leadership expertise to promote the global mission of HOPE to eradicate poverty and spread dignity.

One of Mr. Longe’s first acts as a HOPE National Board member was a trip to Baton Rouge to meet with elected officials and area business leaders to discuss HOPE Coalition America activities in Louisiana, as HOPE aims to expand its financial consulting recovery efforts for those who are still feeling the effects of Hurricane Katrina.
"Mr. Longe’s appointment to our National Board speaks to the depth of our commitment to grow our mission," said HOPE National Board Chairman, CEO and Founder John Hope Bryant. "As an accomplished business executive with more than 20 years of experience, his professional experience will greatly facilitate our work to empower underserved communities in this country and abroad."
As president and CEO of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, a provider of regulatory compliance solutions to more than 15,000 U.S. financial institutions, Mr. Longe leads the company’s overall growth and strategic direction.
"I’m extremely excited to be the newest member of Operation HOPE’s National Board of Directors," stated Mr. Longe. "One of the most powerful ways to help spread Operation HOPE’s mission to eradicate poverty and spread dignity is to improve financial literacy. Wolters Kluwer Financial Services already helps financial institutions educate their consumers on making wise monetary decisions through several of our products and services. But through our involvement with Operation HOPE, we’ll be able to play an even bigger role in helping people improve their economic situations."
Mr. Longe joins a board comprised of some of the most powerful financial executives, decision-makers, bankers and economists in the world that make up HOPE’s national board. Collectively, HOPE board members represent over 90 key public, private and community leaders throughout the country who fill an essential role providing insight and guidance to the organization’s direction.
