Dear friends of HOPE,

Friday of last week (issue dated May 19th, 2008) U.S. News & World Report published an extensive, multi-page profile on financial literacy, profiling as well the work of the U.S. President’s Advisory Council on Financial Literacy, Operation HOPE, and my work to end poverty. This is the second time in two months time that U.S. News & World Report has given focus to this important issue. Additionally, last month (April 5-11, 2008) The Economist highlighted financial literacy in an in-depth global feature chronically the growing international struggle and need for "Getting it right on the Money." Both features are important reading for anyone who wants or needs to know about one of our global languages; "the language of money."

Although you can find a link to the story on our efforts here from this week, I encourage you to go out and purchase a copy yourself and to support a publication that supports financial literacy and "silver rights."

Onward with HOPE,

John Hope Bryant
