Harvard_university_2008_066When you are at Harvard University’s vaulted John F, Kennedy School of Government, as more than 60 YGLs were for the past two weeks undertaking an executive education program entitled "Global Public Policy and Leadership in the 21st Century," it is easy to lose a little perspective on real time problems impacting the real world. Well, that challenge did not apply to my fellow YGL Nigel Chanakira.

You see, Nigel, who is CEO of Kingdom Financial Holdings Ltd in Zimbabwe, told me during one of our "few" breaks that he had just flown home to vote in his countries extremely important presidential elections. He flew home –to Zimbabwe, Africa, because he thought it that important. and then he joined us in Cambridge at Harvard. The pinkie finger he shows here is still stained with the ink from his election action.

We must be the change we want to see in the world. Bravo Nigel, for reflecting just that.

Onward and with HOPE
