135361On February 5th, 2008, I represented my hero and mentor civil rights icon Ambassador Andrew Young at the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Administration for their hosted screening of Young’s film RWANDA RISING for Black History Month. Check out the link to additional information on the Commerce screening here.

Here I am pictured with EDA Assistant Secretary Sandy Baruah, who is a friend of HOPE and me, and one who extended the invitation to screen the film at Commerce and to have me speak, and to my immediate right is a new friend, Willie Taylor, who on this day it was announced was the new EDA regional director for the Philadelphia regional office. A great day all around.

Bravo Assistant Secretary Baruah and Willie Taylor. Bravo…. Andrew Young was proud to have RWANDA RISING screened there with you and the EDA and Commerce Department family.

Onward and with HOPE
