I had a truly inspirational, even spiritual experience on yesterday, speaking at A Place Called Home in South Los Angeles. I am touched beyond words around how they touch and uplift the lives of those left behind in our society. These young people were brilliant, and I am not exagerating. You should listen to the CD’s of amazing music they have produced professionally, right out of A Place Called Home facilities. Simply amazing.
Operation HOPE is going to soon be delivering its award-winning Banking on Our Future financial literacy program there with the help of local HOPE Corps volunteers.
A specia thanks to my friend John Karubian, A Place Called Home board member, for convincing me to do this. My friend Thyonne Gordon, Ph.D, executive director for A Place Called Home, is doing a wonderful job with these young people.
