Home_to_chicago_159Pictured here are members of the Private Bank & Trust family, who received the Chairman’s HOPE Award from me and Operation HOPE recently for their pioneering leadership and support of our movement in Chicago. Literally, without the Private Bank & Trust there would be no Banking on Our Future, Chicago office, as they were the first bank to sign on following my appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show and winning her "Use Your Life" Award. We used the $100,000 from Oprah to seed the Chicago office, naming it in her honor. Right after that the Private Bank & Trust came on board with essential HOPE Corps volunteers and additional resources. Today Banking on Our Future, Chicago has educated more than 30,000 low-wealth youth in financial literacy, recruited and trained more than 700 HOPE Corps volunteers, and is active in well over 100 Chicago Public Schools.

To the right we have Patricia Robles from Banking on Our Future, Chicago, Stacy Sanchez, SVP for HOPE Partners from Operation HOPE’s global headquarters in Los Angeles, and "the great" Bill Robinson, who runs Banking on Our Future, Chicago.

The best is yet to come. But for now, congratulations the Private Bank & Trust!

Onward with HOPE
