Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited (RLL) is India’s largest pharmaceutical company that also ranks among the top ten generic players in the world. With its current turnover in excess of a billion dollars, the company manufactures and markets branded and generic pharmaceuticals and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. It has a ground presence in 49 countries, manufacturing operations in 8 countries and products being sold in over 125 countries. The company’s focus on R&D has resulted in several approvals in developed markets and significant progress in New Drug Discovery Research. RLL’s foray into Novel Drug Delivery Systems has also led to proprietary "platform technologies" resulting in a number of products under development. Malvinder joined Ranbaxy in 1998 and worked through various functions of General Management, Sales & Marketing, Finance and Business Development. Prior to being appointed as CEO and Managing Director, he was responsible for the company’s global operations, as President Pharmaceuticals. Malvinder and his family are the largest shareholders in Ranbaxy, Fortis Healthcare Limited, Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre Limited and SRL Ranbaxy all synergistic ventures, promoted by his family. This gives the group the unique distinction of being counted as the largest health care player of India. Malvinder is also the Chairman of Religare Enterprises Limited which is India’s leading integrated financial services provider. He is the Chairman, CII National Committee on Technology & IPR. Malvinder earned his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, USA after graduating in Economics from the St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, India.

Malvinder is part of the solution, and a leader for the future.
