Harlem_hope_center_037Last week the Operation HOPE family was pleased to tour State Banking Superintendent Richard Neiman and his team through our recently opened Harlem HOPE Center, located at Frederick Douglass and 134th Street in Harlem, New York.

The Superintendent and his team spent more than three hours at the Center, talking to clients, being briefed on our innovative work, and discussing strategies around a possible collaboration to help the great people of Harlem, as well as throughout the state, around the growing sub-prime mortgage crisis, financial literacy and other matters.

The Harlem HOPE Center, which is due to have its grand opening in the Fall, is lead sponsored by E TRADE FINANCIAL, with major support from JP Morgan Chase and other partners including GE, United Commercial Bank, First Republic Bank and Carver Federal Savings Bank amongst others.

This is the "silver rights" movement in action.

Onward and with HOPE
