Harlem_hope_center_053Make no mistake about it, I could not have been prouder of this group of HOPE team leaders than last week as they organized, under their leader Maleak Pierce, a speech for me before 60 Clinton Foundation Interns, and later VIP tours for the State of New York Banking Superintendent Richard Neiman and City of New York Department of Consumer Affairs Commissioner Jonathan Mintz and their respect teams.

Additional kudos goes to our own Mary Hagerty, recently promoted to the post of global chief of financial literacy for Operation HOPE, who works out of the newly opened Harlem HOPE Center office! Of course, Lance Triggs (not pictured here), our recently promoted EVP for the HOPE (Banking) Center Network nationwide, runs the entire system of 9 HOPE Centers.

Proud of them all. There is a passion, excitement and sense of (higher) purpose in the Harlem HOPE Center which, if sustained, can truly help to create fundamental positive change in and for the residents of Harlem, New York. The official grand opening for the Harlem HOPE Center is set for the Fall. More to come…

Bravo Operation HOPE. A special thanks to our Harlem HOPE Center partners, namely E TRADE FINANCIAL, JP Morgan Chase, GE and the William Jefferson Clinton Foundation. Additional partners include Deutsche Bank, United Commercial Bank, First Republic Bank and Carver Federal Savings Bank. The Harlem HOPE Center, as well as the Banking on Our Future-NYSE Partnership, are both commitments to Clinton Global Initiative.

Onward with HOPE
