Nov06_113_1My special thanks to longtime friend, Debbi D. Brock, and her colleagues there at Berea College for inviting me to be their Convocation speaker on yesterday. It was a real treat, at and for a truly historic institution that is making a real difference in the world. Berea was founded in 1855 by abolitionists who were committed to whites and blacks being educated together as one — in 1855! Amazing story of vision and leadership. Well, this is probably one of the earliest examples of individuals figuring out that "diversity is a business strength."  Here are my remarks from the evening session with 500 students.
