Bryant_10Recently I gave a speech before and as part of the USC Marshall School of Business Microfinance Conference in Los Angeles, at the request of my all time hero and surrogate father, Reverend Dr. Cecil "Chip" Murray. Reverend Murray, formerly the pastor of First A.M.E. Church in Los Angeles and now a professor Tanzi Chair at the USC School of Religion, and I share a light and loving moment here at the conclusion of the well received conference. While many have and continue to impact my life, the three main men that have shaped my life and values are my real father, businessman and "lifetime deacon" Johnie W. Smith, Reverend Dr. Cecil "Chip" Murray, and most recently Ambassador Andrew Young. We all need mentors, heroes and sheroes in our lives.

Onward and with HOPE, John Hope Bryant
