16700katrinaphotos_1The legendary (and kind) Dr. Dorothy Height, chairwoman-emeritus of the National Council of Negro Women, colleagues from the FDIC, Office of Thrift Supervision, Department of Homeland Security and other agencies, join me for the October 4th, 2005 announcement of Project Restore HOPE for Katrina victims. The first financial aide provided, a grant of $60,000, made possible by our friends at E Trade Financial, went to Dr. Height and the families she helped to place into homes of their own some 25 years ago — now destroyed, waiting to be rebuilt.

You cannot have a rainbow, without a storm first. Dr. Height, is a rainbow for us all.

Onward, with HOPE
