"When Ambassador Andrew Young was sworn in as the U.S. Ambassador for the United Nations under President Jimmy Carter, he traveled to visit his wife’s hometown. While there he noticed a man sitting off in the distance and said to his wife, ‘…honey, you see…, you COULD have married that wino over there…’ And without missing a beat she shot back, ‘…well, if I did, HE would be the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations!"

A classic, and a true story. Dedicated to the memory of the late great Jean Child Young
